Developing the NDCS’ Buzz website

Posted in News

We have had a request from the National Deaf Children’s Society about the development of their Buzz website:

We are currently in the development of the new Buzz, creating a new digital offer for deaf children and young people.

What is the Buzz?

The Buzz is the only website for deaf children and young people in the UK. It’s an opportunity for them to get the information and support that they need.

It’s a space in which deaf young people can gain the information and support they need, helping to reduce the social isolation that as a group they might feel. Since 2010, the technology used and engagement with deaf children, young people and their families has considerably changed.

Make a difference

To ensure that our new digital offer is led by deaf young people, we have created an online survey for deaf young people to complete.

How can you help?

We are asking for your help to share this survey within your network for the promotion to deaf young people aged 8 – 18.

We would be very grateful if you could share the survey with:

  • Any deaf young people you work with
  • Their parents
  • Other professionals who work with deaf young people

Paper versions of the survey are available on request. The survey will be open until the end of June.

Thank you in advance for your support, if you have any questions or need anything else, please let us  know by emailing Coral.Izzard@ndcs.org.uk
