Research study – parents of children, age 5 and under with cochlear implants, required

Posted in News

Elizabeth Coughlan, a fourth year speech and language therapy student studying at Demontfort University, is undertaking a study that will focus on the impact that stress may have on the views and experiences of hearing parents of children with cochlear implants. The study aims to find out how parents can be further supported after implantation and will take place between October – December 2018.

30-50 participants are required to complete 2 questionnaires:
1) Self-rating stress scale
2) Parental views and experiences of children with cochlear implants

The study requires the participants to be hearing parents of children with cochlear implants who are 5 years old or under, and have been implanted for at least 2 years.

Here is a flyer about the project.
