“Did you know that in 2020 DCAL was 15 years old. DCAL is a multidisciplinary team of linguists, psychologists and neuroscientists. We conduct world-class research into deafness, cognition and language with the aim to further educational and clinical practice and create societal impact. To celebrate we are hosting a series of seminars on the Legacy of DCAL with some new and old faces. This event will have STTR and BSL interpreters.

9th November – 6pm – 7.30pm
– Performance by Zoe McWhinney followed by discussion of British Sign Language and Technology with Zoe McWhinney, Kearsy Cormier and Neil Fox chaired by Robert Adam.
10th November – 6pm – 7.30pm
– Deaf Education and DCAL. Collaborative presentation with Kate Rowley, Dani Sive (Headteacher of Frank Barnes) and Clare Nelder (Chair of DToD).
11th November – 6pm – 7.30pm
– The Deaf Brain – Lauren Berger (Gaulladet), Velia Cardin, Mairéad MacSweeney and Bencie Woll.
