Timpson Review was published this week.
In response to the Race Disaparity Audit a review of school exclusion was launched. In March 2018, Edward Timpson led the review to explore how schools use exclusion and why vulnerable cohorts; children in need, those in care, as well as those with SEND or from certain ethnic groups, are more likely to be excluded.
The published Timpson Review’s includes a recommendation that schools are accountable for the exam results of children they exclude.
